Nicholas Smith is a classically trained naturopath, using iridology, herbal medicine, homeopathy, Neuro-Emotional Technique and nutrition to address physical and emotional imbalance and regain wellness. For over ten years he has worked with acute and chronic conditions and gained wonderful results with patients.
Nicholas is a passionate believer in vis medicatrix naturae, the healing power of nature, and believes that the trio of food, thought, and action influence how well our body is able to express our being. He believes in seeking a cure in diet and emotions first, then supplementation or use of herbal medicine or homeopathics as needed.

His passion for natural medicine has translated into articles published in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and the Byron Shire Echo. On occasion the print and broadcast media seeks his ‘natural’ opinion on topical health matters; he was a regular guest on Sydney radio and columnist the Sydney magazine.
His respect for nature has allowed him to lecture in herbs and pass on what he has learnt, teaching at the Australasian College of Natural Medicine, Nature Care College, The University of Western Sydney, and the Canberra Institute of Technology. He is also a corporate speaker on wellbeing, addressing St Vincent’s Hospital medical staff, among others.
He gained his qualifications from The Academy of Natural Therapies, Queensland in 1995, The Ayurvedic Institute of America, 1998 and Nutrition and Environmental Medicine at Swinburne University, Melbourne, 2005. He continues to be a keen student of health and is undertaking studies in Anthroposophical Medicine presently.
Nicholas is a father of three and is happy to now live in nature outside Mullumbimby.
